Grateful I only have two ankles, knees and hips
And one stubborn back
Each in turn decries and vies
Body awareness from missteps
The rising is in the falling

Sails doused and stowed, the anchor set in muddy bottom
Reclining crew rest tired feet up on the transom
Raised glasses clink as rose red sun’s descent is toasted
Day’s tales regaled, awash in evening’s pastel palette
