Savoring even your pre-dawn snores
Before we roll off opposite sides of bed
Like deep sea swells to different shores
Cherishing your parting gaze
Not caring if security detects a tear
I thread the airport check-in maze
Remembering your hug
Flesh takes reluctant leave of ground
Bones resist the turbined tug
Traversing hours and degrees
Grateful once again the earth is round
Its every curve a promise
Its every turn a tease
